Spooktacular Matcha Cocktail
You’ve been prepping your Halloween costume for the last year but the parties are now all cancelled... & you have no idea what to do on the 31st of October... Well!! We’ve got exactly what you need! We’ve created 2 Matcha cocktails that will put magic into your night. Who needs a party when you can bring the party to you, right ?!
We’ve thought of everything! On one side we have our delicious “classy”, made with spicy rum, rosemary and matcha. This concoction is not too sweet and can be made from locally grown ingredients! On the other side, we have our “funky’ coconut rum, lime and matcha extravaganza! This one is a little bit sweeter but oh so refreshing!
So, which one will you be sippin’ tonight? Both?! *wink
THESE MATCHA COCKTAILS ARE:

FOR THE "CLASSY"
INGREDIENTS
-
¼ cup of rosemary spiced rum
-
2 teaspoons of maple syrup
-
1 teaspoon of matcha
-
Edible glitter *optional
-
Ice cubes
-
150mL of sparkling water, regular or grapefruit flavour
-
2 rosemary branches for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
For the "Classy" : spicy rum, rosemary et matcha

In a measuring cup, combine the rum, maple syrup, matcha and edible glitter. Mix to dissolve the matcha.

Divide the drink evenly between 2 glasses.

Fill both glasses with ice and add the sparkling beverage. Gently stir with a spoon.

Garnish each cocktail with a rosemary branch. For a more dramatic effect, light up the rosemary branch with a lighter and blow the flame out; it will create a cloud of smoke.
*To prepare the rosemary spiced rum, place a rosemary branch in a 1 cup mason jar filled with rum. Infuse for one hour and remove the rosemary branch. The infused rum can be kept for a couple of weeks in the refrigerator. It can be used in cocktails, simmered dishes and other recipes.
FOR THE "FUNKY"
INGREDIENTS

¼ cup of coconut rum

2 teaspoons of lime juice

1 teaspoon of matcha
-
Edible glitter *optional
-
Ice cubes
-
150ml of Sprite Zero or any other sparkling lime beverage

2 lime zests
INSTRUCTIONS
For the "Funky" : coco, lime et matcha

In a measuring cup, combine the rum, lime, matcha and edible glitter. Mix to dissolve the matcha.

Divide the drink evenly between 2 glasses.

Fill both glasses with ice and add the sparkling beverage. Gently stir with a spoon.

Decorate with lime zest.
